The Psychology of Colour

The Psychology of Colour

Isn’t it amazing that the colour we choose can reveal so much about who we are as people?

So what does your favourite colour say about you? Let’s take a look at what Psychologytoday.com has to say about the matter:

Black:
People who go for black are often artistic and sensitive. These people, although not introverts, are careful with the details of their lives and do not share easily

White:
People who like white are often organised and logical and don’t have a great deal of clutter in their lives. These would be minimalists in their décor style

Red:
Those who love red have a zest for life and are determined in everything they do

Blue:
If blue is your favourite colour you love harmony, are reliable, sensitive and always make an effort to think of others. Stability is the most important aspect in life for you

Green:
Lovers of the colour green are often affectionate, loyal and frank people. They are aware of what other people think of them, and consider their reputation very important

Yellow:
Happiness comes easily to those who choose yellow. These ‘rays of sunshine’ enjoy learning and sharing knowledge with others

Purple:
You are artistic and unique. You have a great respect for other people but at times could be considered a bit arrogant

Brown:
You are a good friend and try your best to be reliable and dependable

Obviously these are just very generic descriptions, but does make for a very interesting read, especially when looking at the colour schemes throughout your home!
